Done deal: Houston Rockets sign veterans Jeff Green & DeMarre Carroll

The Houston Rockets made some business on the market in recent days. They confirmed that they are going to use their free roster spots to sign contracts with the two veteran forwards Jeff Green and DeMarre Carroll. Let’s dive into this story, while we build some nba free picks for you.

33-years old Jeff Green is a player with a rich experience in the NBA. The power forward played for the Utah Jazz in the 2019, while in his past he used to defend the colours of teams like the Cleveland Cavaliers, Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Clippers. He made 30 appearances for the Jazz and averaged 7.8 points and 2.7 rebounds per game, before being waived around Christmas.

Even if Jeff Green’s best days are behind him now, we can still say that he could be an useful addition for the Rockets.

33-years old DeMarre Carroll is another forward who signed a contract with the Houston Rockets. He arrives from the San Antonio Spurs, having agreed to a contract buyout. With the Spurs Carroll managed to average 2.2 points in 15 games played. On Tuesday San Antonio Spurs officially announced that DeMarre Carroll is not a part of the team anymore.

Except for the San Antonio Spurs, DeMarre Carroll have played for the Brooklyn Nets, Toronto Raptors, Atlanta Hawks, Utah Jazz, Denver Nuggets and Memphis Grizzlies. In 2011 he played for the Rockets, too, so basically for him this a return to the team.

At this moment the Rockets are 5th in the Western Conference with a record of 34 wins and 20 losses.
