Report: The New York Knicks intested in hot prospect LaMelo Ball
The New York Knicks have some plans about the upcoming draft in the NBA, and hot prospect LaMelo Ball is included. Let’s see what’s really happening in this story while we are preparing our next NBA picks today for you.
A report from Marc Berman in the New York Post states that the New York Knicks are following the development of LaMelo Ball – the youngest one of the LaMelo brothers closely. LaMelo already has some pro-experience after he spent the last season playing in Australia. According to Marc Berman, LaMelo is currently the top point guard on Knicks’ draft board.
Nobody could really argue that the Knicks need to invest in a new point guard for the future. We all see that players like Dennis Smith Jr., Frank Ntilikina, and Elfrid Payton are not the right answer for the long-term. So don’t be surprised if you see LaMelo at the Madison Square Garden soon. It makes sense for the Knicks not just on the court but off the court as well.
But there’s a problem. The New York Knicks are in the no. 6 slot of the draft, so it’d be surprising if LaMelo Ball lasts so long. That’s why the Nicks could be put in a position to make a trade to get their hands on LaMelo.
In the 2019/20 season, LaMelo Ball played for the Australian side Illawarra Hawks. He played fantastically and was chosen for Rookie of the year in the NBL. He also played in Luthainia for Prienai and the Los Angeles Ballers in the JBA.
It’s going to be fascinating to see where LaMelo Ball will end in the coming draft. He’s undoubtedly a fantastic prospect and a future star in the NBA. Meanwhile, keep up with our content, and our NBA picks today we will keep providing you.
